One might have noticed that initiative are being taken to ban ads related to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin etc.., as they are often misleading and follow promotional practices which are deceptive. It seems that the category “prohibited content” has a new addition to top it up. It’s an intentionally broad policy which aims to stop scammers from luring people into the wrong direction for their own profits.
Internet users look forward to learning and discover something useful more rather than getting distracted by ads whose enterprises are not even fully functional. Lots of efforts have been taken lately through different means to prohibit online scams and Facebook has done something noteworthy to promote safe socializing and learning. Product Manager Rob Leathern is quite concerned about this rising scamming issue and has stated that “We want people to continue to discover and learn about new products and services through Facebook ads without fear of scams or deception”. Facebook has promised that the revision of the policies will take place once the scams are less but for now, it has strictly banned the promotion of similar ads.
Though the downside is, even legitimate businesses which promote binary options & cryptocurrencies will not be able to post ads which have caused a strong dissatisfaction among the firms which are in good books. The Internet community is battling against hoaxes by taking several measures to stay away from deceitful links and the new policy seems to have brought hope among the users.
